The selection process takes place in our partnership schools and involves a short teaching task with a class of pupils, followed by a written task and interview with Northern Star’s Leadership Team and a Subject Specific Leader . Interviews in schools give applicants the opportunity to see the school in action during the working day, experience working with pupils and the chance to meet current trainee teachers and other colleagues. The selection process enables us to see your potential and gives you the opportunity to learn more about the programme and how we can support your professional development. It’s as much about you choosing to train with us as it is about us choosing you.
